It’s our birthday and you’re invited!
January 2026 marks 20 years since the initial founding of FoCo Roller Derby. Originally named FoCo Girls Gone Derby, FoCo Roller Derby was founded in January of 2006 as the very first roller derby league in Northern Colorado. Now, 20 years later, we couldn’t be more proud to continue to operate sustainably for our community, as a skater-run and operated nonprofit organization.
In celebration of 20 years of roller derby, we are hosting a community-wide event at Soundbar in Fort Collins. This not-to-be-missed celebration will feature live music performances from three local-area bands (Pet Leslie, Team Nonexistant, and Blank Slate) who will deliver dynamic, high-energy performances, and a pop-up roller derby museum highlighting two decades of the league’s history.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to read and hear testimonials from current and former skaters about how roller derby has impacted their lives and how FCRD has been and continues to be an important and inclusive space for building community, athleticism, and empowerment in Northern Colorado.

Whether you are a skater, volunteer, fan, or just someone looking for something fun to do on a Thursday night, we would love to celebrate with you at Soundbar on January 29th. Come dance, sing, drink, make a (tax-deductible!) donation, and be merry with your favorite skaters, and help us share the joys of roller derby with our local community for a fun night and for many more years to come.
